Living without gravity

  

Although it is pretty cool when everything is floating around the room as well as me I missed the Earth. I miss not being able to walk down the streets and seeing the kids laughing in the playground and parents chatting to one another. Earth has the warm feeling of liveliness while Mars doesn't. It’s too lonely up here there is no one around nobody to see, nobody to cheer you up.I walk up to a crater where my best friend on this planet lives, I climb down the cold hole when I can see the damp floor I jump it makes a loud squelching sound as my feet hit the ground. It smells horrible down here, I finally found the ladder to my friend's house. I find him sitting in his hole in the side of the wall with his green limbs curled in a ball sleeping. So I decided it was best to leave and see him later. When I got back I found my sister sitting in our floating arm chair reading her floating book. That night I went to bed feeling lonely and small. In the morning I told My mother I was lonely and I wanted to move back to Earth and Mars is so much colder I miss the warm sun on my back at the beach. April 30th 3016 This year wasn't going so bad. Everything was going as usual when My Mum came into my room with news we were going to move back to Earth in June. I was so pleased I leap into the air thinking I would come back down but I didn't. I just floated “Dam” I said. June 4th 3016 The day we leave. Our bags were back and we were ready to go home in our Space suits we hoped in the rocket and in a minute the countdown began (3,2,1 BLAST OFF) I couldn’t believe it, we were going home. A long flight though. December 8th 3018 I haven’t written for 2 years but I am at home in my old house writing in my diary. I am glad we chose to go back to Earth but I am really missing floating around with my Mation friend.



For our work this week we had to finish the diary on living without gravity This my writing.

I am proud of.....

I am proud of myself because I made it into the South island Tennis Tournament and came 5th. I am also proud of myself for coming 2nd in the Canterbury Tennis Tournament.

I came 2nd in the Grey district cross country. I also made it into the West Coast swimming. I made it into the under 13 development Hockey team.

I am proud of all of my work I put into my work. 

We had to create four different pictures  from one main photo. This is my photography that I did.

I squint at the golden sun as it rolls behind the hills. Droplets fall on my tongue making me quiver.The rain gets heavier thundering in from dark grey clouds. I throw my hood over my head, the rain clatters over my jacket. It makes me shiver. I’m running through the wet grass as I stomp in a cold puddle the water slushes up the back of my leg making my legs buckle to the ground. I sit up, the rain is gone and sudden colours burst out into the sky like rockets forming a bend. My eyes focus on the beautiful colours. Later I walk home still shivering from the puddle but the sun comes out and all the water on my clothes disappears into the sky.




Our class was supposed to write a piece on the eye for creative writing. This is my piece of writing that I wrote on the eye. 

Amelia Earhart

Amelia Earhart was a famous aviator but went missing in her flight around the world. What happened to her? There are four common theories of what happened to her. Some people believe she was captured by the Japanese because she was secretly a spy. Another theory is that she crashed her plane into a deserted island and survived for some time. Others believe she flew home safely and changed her name because of all the attention. Finally many people think that she ran out of fuel and sunk in the water without a trace. It is unlikely that she flew home safely and changed her name because she enjoyed her fame. I doubt she was captured by the Japanese because we don’t have any evidence she was a spy or ended up with the Japanese. There is some evidence that she could have crashed her plane on an island. Some plane wreckage was found on a deserted island near where she went missing but it’s not clear that it was her plane. Although I can’t be sure, I believe the most convincing theory is that her plane ran out of fuel, crashed and sunk in the ocean without a trace. This could happen easily leaving no evidence.
