The tale of aurora
Some folks have their own opinion, I have mine too.
The magnificent lights of aurora are a sight to the eyes, although the tale behind is even better.
Our story is set in the snowy Mount Olympus, the home of all Greek gods. Their leader Zeus is the god of the gods, goddesses and weather, he sits at the top of Mount Olympus watching over all that we see.
Zeus owns something very precious, and very valuable. Seeing he is the god of weather he carries with him a lightning bolt. This is everything to the people of Mount Olympus.
So we begin our story.
It is early morning and it is still dark. Zeus is pondering over some thoughts when something caught his attention, he did not have his lightning bolt in his hand any more. He must have got side tracked by his thoughts. Knowing Zeus and how impatient he is ,he quickly flew into a rage after minutes of searching.
His suspicions grew and the crime was laid on his brother Hades, god of death and the underworld. Hades had always been jealous of his stronger, smarter and older brother, he was often trying to rattle him one way or another. Although Zeus was not completely powerless without his weapon.
He was quick to think up a plan to retrieve his property. He would send a demigod (A child of a god) on a quest to retrieve it for him.
Zeus soon had possession of his lighting bolt again.
As for Hades he had a cruel punishment, for Zeus could do whatever he liked. Hades was struck for eternity on Zeus' conditions.
So if you happen to see the Extravagant lights of Aurora this is the powerful lighting that is struck upon Hades.
